Motherly Instincts
This piece was inspired my mother and her relationship to me and my sister. I wanted to depict a mother and her children who have been made from the mothers own two arms. The children are a direct extension of herself. I sewed all the dolls clothes from found materials and flowers I found around local nature areas. I wanted their presence to be warm and playful, like something you’d stumble upon the middle of the forest. I find it very rewarding to create characters from stories i’ve created in my head.
