Private Collection

Private Collection is a mixed media sculpture that is a tribute to my childhood. As I reflect on my childhood, some memories come through strong and clear while others are now more distant and blurry. My childhood was filled with animals and bugs as our house backed up to not one but two farming fields. Therefore I wanted to include this nature aspect to the work that was so important in my deep appreciation for the outdoors now. The wooden highchair has an aged yet timeless beauty about it which is exactly how I feel about my childhood.
